Drainage Services for Your Michigan Property
Todd's Services, Inc. has over 35 years of experience correcting drainage issues on properties in Michigan. As a residential landscaping contractor in Michigan, we have many creative and visually appealing ways to correct unsightly drainage issues.
Geology can vary significantly. We experience everything from heavy, grey clay soils to beach sand, and usually a combination of everything in between. Clay soils usually prevent water from soaking into the ground as fast as we would like, creating ponding or puddles at the surface. Ambient surface water on clay soils can be problematic if drainage is not properly directed away from your home's foundation.
Sandy soils on the other hand are usually easier to work with, seldom causing ponding issues at the surface; However, sandy soils can transmit water movement underground that can create problems such as unwanted springs after heavy rains or a wet season.
While Todd's Services can't change the geology in your area, we can work with the given soil types to create proper slopes, barriers or contours to solve your drainage issues. Underground trenching and/or piping may be part of the solution and may involve one of the following design ideas:
- Trench Drains
- Bubble Drains
- Dry Wells
- French Drains
- Underground Discharge Pipes
- Dry (decorative) Creek Beds
- Dry River Beds
- Dry (decorative) Ponds
